The Hunt for Green July
In true rock and roll style, I got the night boat - which was like a big slumber party, except the beds were two foot wide, and squished side by side - and got a bus across from east to west and down to the rather large island of Phuket, having heard the others were in town.
Again, in true rock and roll style, hearing they wanted surf, I went to the best surf place to look for them.
Again, in true rock and roll style, I simply minced around with my bags and guitar on my back, my fisherman pants, my thai shirt and my bare feet, thinking to myself "I'll just find them on the beach, lying beside boards and I'll walk over the sands like I was looking for Jim Morrison, except slightly less needy"...
It didn't work.
The rock and roll music stopped playing.
The bags got heavy after almost two hours in the sticky heat.
The Bean checked into an average haunt for him, and began washing the travels down the drain.
But this evening! This evening will be different...
I will find them.
And again, I'll try do it in true rock and roll style.
Unless they get my email first, saying I'm staying in the Kata Noi Pavillion.
Good talk.
Stay tuned...
