Bound for Bundaberg

I'm just on my way now in fifteen minutes to Bundaberg. We've already been there, and it's backtracking about an hour and a half, but we need to shop! The one problem with small places like Agnes, is the price of food shopping. So five of us chipping in on petrol for Sheila is the only way forward.

We've become the centre for the campsite.
Every night, people come over to our camp, bringing chairs, guitars, sometimes beer and Nutella. It's great, the music is in full flight every night!

So yesterday I was out for an evening surf at Workman's beach, which is the beach our campsite is on, and as I'm surfing this one wave in, a load of wee fish are jumping out of the water around me. The board coming at them probably looked like a meaty fish. They all jump out of the water around me, and one little fella landed on my foot! It was very funny, one of those you had to be there moments...

Plans are being made, smashed, remolded, shaped, shattered and thrown around as to what the rest of the trip will consist of. Talk of flying out of Cairns, talk of going south again, and all sorts of crazy ideas, some of which contain selling everything and going back over to Western Australia! Stay tuned....

Here's some more photos:

Click to find out about or new pet!

Ernest Hunstman

Picnics and pickin' up

Poor Macleod, we left him for ages on the side of the road the other day. We just forgot!

I've really taken to this sleepy little village. It is probably my favourite spot in the country so far, or at least up there with them.

It has great surf (Although not right now!) real people, cool camping spots and nice little coves to reflect about the universe from.

We're planning on staying here another while, I'm trying to sell my board here, as I've a new one being made for me!

The amount of great people we've met here is amazing. From travellers, to locals, to Aussies from other parts of Oz. Alot of guitarists as well!

As there's no surf, we've taken to other things:

1. We now have a pet "Badge Huntsman" who is currently eyeing up his dinner (A greenfly, two ants, a mosquito and a mashed up baby spider) I plan on taking him travelling with me, as he was already living in our van, just now it'll be in a container, in our van. He is currently one inch in size, but will grow to be the size of my hand, as he's one of the biggest spiders in the world!
His name is Ernest Huntsman.

2. We made a catapult, that sucked, so with the help of our Dutch friends, Mark and Milf (Yes, that is his real name) we made a better one. We use it to keep away the BushTurkeys from our campsite. They can fly! I never knew that, they aren't very good, but it is weird to see one fly thirty foot up in the air, and land on a tree branch.

3. We make up rude songs.

4. Eggy Cathy, now named Egbert Ramsbottom, makes dreamcatchers for everyone. They're pretty damn cool.

5. We go snorkeling.

6. We go for picnics, one of which we had on the rocky outcrop you'll see in the photos ahead. Absolute magic it was. Only thing missing was the red and white colour scheme on the rug!

7. It's rare, but we sometimes clean the dishes.

8. Anyone want to buy a surfboard?

If you do come to Oz, come here.

That's me chillin' on the edge. If I had a penny for everytime Smeels said "Don't die Bean, your Mother would kill us" - I wouldn't be very rich, but I'd had a few pence! Posted by Picasa
