The High Thirties

Pretty much the entire week, sometimes wandering into the forties, sometimes falling below twenty at night, but it stayed in the thirties alllll night last night.
Rock and Roll.
Went to see Seamus Begley and Jim Murray Wednesday night.
Savage.
Chatting to Begley after, was supposed to have session yesterday but didn't, he's giving me a ring next week when he's back in Melbourne. Isn't that gas, one of the most respected trad heads is meeting up with me for a session! Very excited about that.
Also I believe Andy Irvine is going to one of the Monday night sessions in a few weeks time, which would be amazing, Lily Savage.
Anyway work is fine, Scotland still don't have jobs, but I believe effort is being made!
Well with work we don't have many adventures at all now. But I am going to get tickets this week for the Australian Grand Prix, which is five minutes walk from where I live!
It's around 110euro for the entire weekend, which is a fraction of the price of what I'd pay to go to any other one when I get home.

I can't remember who it was that asked for this photo. OK, the front of my guitar...you can see the crack on the far side of the strings, there is another small one an inch to the right of it. Also the very closest edge to the camera is split all up the side. The rest of the damage is jsut playing it. All of it together is character :)

Grand

A quick wee update:
Work was good, I think it'll be grand for however long I stay there, the workmates are cool.
I did a lap of the Australian Grand Prix! Well two laps, one backwards for good measure.

Anyway some news from today, to get people up to date:
Tim got a job, it's about time, he deserves one more than any of us. He's worked the hardest towards getting one. It's in the "Converting people to other fuel sources" industry. Good man Tim.
Also I'm going ot see Seamus Begley and Jim Murray in concert next week, tickets were 10bucks, so I couldn't say no :)
It's 35 degrees today, quiet warm, was around the same yesterday, and said to stay the same for awhile.
The Scots went to the Tennis (Austrailian Open) and got in the newspaper yesterday! It's says some stereotypical Scotish slang, Och aye jock - or something like that, but they got in it! Don't worry all you Scotish mammys, they've got a copy, and are sending it home.
I got a pressie from my great friends back home, Sean and Kim, was great! I got the new Day In The Life Nellie!
- actually Kim was due yesterday, must see what the craic is with that later today, when it's a reasonable hour back home.
Sean the DVD and CD rocks! Well done, and thanks for the thanks on the CD :) The books look like they'll be a good read too, I'll keep you posted.
Smeels quit her team happy valium face job, and got a new one, lets hope it goes better. It's in telesales I believe.... go Smeels!
